FAQ

How does CBD Work?

Our bodies contain a system called the Endocannabinoid System that receives transmission signals from cannabinoids in our bodies. CBD is not psychoactive meaning there is no “high” unlike THC. It is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. Our bodies produce certain cannabinoids on their own and humans have two receptors for cannabinoids, called the CB1 receptors and the CB2 receptors. They are present throughout the body but are mainly located in the brain. The CB1 receptors pertain to coordination/movement, pain, emotions, mood, thinking, appetite, memory and many other things among these. THC attaches to these receptors.
CB2 receptors are common in the immune system and deal more with inflammation and pain. CBD does not attach to either receptor, however it appears to direct the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.

How do you use CBD?

CBD is available in wide variety ranging from balms, creams, capsules, vaping products, and edibles to bath bombs, teas, and oils.  When using it in oil form orally, it is distributed under the tongue where it dissolved into the bloodstream and provides relief throughout the body.
